Built in 1862 as the central prison of Lucerne and transformed in 1998 into Switzerland's first jailhotel. Its unique architecture and look have made it one of Lucerne's most extraordinary and cool places.
Connected to the hotel are a clubroom with modern conference facilities and a trendy bar. The hotel guests have free entrance to weekend parties and music events, which are organized by the management.
All rooms still have the authentic jail touch though they have been renovated and equipped with shower and WC.
Additional information, children under the age of six stay free in the room with parents and in existing bedding. Credit cards are only accepted as a guarantee not as payment. The account will need to be settled cash.
